I received my PhD in folklore with a minor in gender studies from Indiana University in May 2012. I specialize in fairy tales and other folk narratives, feminist theory, dance, body art, and literature of the fantastic. I've really enjoyed my excursions into DH thus far and I'm keen on seeing feminism in more of these scholarly conversations.

I'm also a professional dancer, so experiences of gender and the body are never far from my thoughts. I believe that mind-body dualism is very pervasive in Western culture, and I think that integrating technology, the humanities, and feminism will lead to some intriguing perspectives on cultural conceptions of identity .
